Summary


The general aim of national economy is to develop continually and as much
as possible its production forces and to allocate them to the economic branches in the
manner that, by their most economical (optimal) and rational utilization and especially
by the best exploitation of its own resources the greatest quantity of most valuable
goods should be produced. Thus, primarily in a direct way and according to the
needs and possibilities and, also indirectly by way of international trade, all the social
(state) needs will be satisfiel in the best manner in accordance to their importance
for the society (state) and the living standard of its members.


The realization of this aim in a society (state) depends:
a) on the productivity of the production forces of this society (state) and in


this connection with the efficiency of human work.
b) on the economy of the production forces.
c) on the distribution of the whole production forces of the society (state)


among the economic branches in space and time, and.
d) on international trade.
The productivity is the creative efficienoy of the human working forces in


conjunction with the available working means, which is displayed in the useful effect
of the determinate quality under optimum or maximum efforts of their forces per
unit of time, and under fixed working conditions.


For the estimate of the productivity of a given working unit (man, workshop,
enterprise itc). we use the coefficient of optimum (maximum) productivity, i. e. the
relation between the optimum (maximum) useful effect in the natural indices and
