2 deals with determination of prices of sawmill roundwood for the listed sorts by
means of value coefficient. Point 3 covers common problems in forestry and
timber products industry, while Point 4 analyses the organization of business
efficacy of sawmill wood conversion.


In the conclusion the author emphasises that the aim of this paper is to
answer two basic questions:


a) how to organize sawmill wood conversion as a whole to accepting orientation
towards the improvement of production as a basic objective aim and in
this way to increase business efficacy and income, and


b) what solutions can be offerend by the timber industry with a view to
overcoming the chaotic situation presently existing in the roundwood market.
