THE LINDEN TREE IN THE FOREST ECONOMY


In this article the author described, after dates of some experimental area
from Fruška Gora (a Moutain in Syrmia), the results of production of linden
trees, and the quantity of technical wood.


After this observations about the valuability of the linden wood he brings
the following conclusions:
1) The Unden tree is one of the valuablest species (kinds) of our trees. It
gives a great percent of valuable technical wood.
2) The optimal rotation to receive the valuablest assortiments for the linden
trees is 80 years.
3) The linden must be planted also as lower growth in the oak-growth for
protecting and bettering of the soil.
