Summary In the spring" of 1963, Pollaccia el eg ans Serv. was first obeserved on Poplars (Populus euramericana) in Yugoslavia. The fungus was found in the valley of the river Mirna near Ponte Portona (Istra). Trees of different ages from 18 to 30 years were attacked over an area of about 60 ha. The fungus was harmful to shoots and leeaves, causing blackening and curling of the shoots, and producing numerous spots on leaves which fell off in the spring. |
