INVESTIGATIONS OF THE RELATIVE DIFFERENTIAL
RENTAL IN THE COMMERCIAL FORESTS OF THE GORSKI KOTAR REGION


The differential rental (of fertility and locality) as a political-economic category
exists in forest enterprises, and it is the consequence of different conditions of
earning. The relative differential rental (of fertility and locality) as an economic
category also exists between individual economic units (forest districts) within
a forest enterprise. Under conditions of socialist commodity production and of
the free market economy, and under the proclaimed and accepted principles
»equal work, equal reward« — there had appeared the need to remove through
financial redistribution those elements in the earning conditions which constitute
the function of better natural factors and of a larger amount of inherited and
past invested work, or of present invested work, but under different (administrative)
social conditions of distribution of surplus labour. For this purpose we
have organized and performed investigations in comercial forests of the Gorski
Kotar region belonging to the Forest Enterprise Delnice. Investigated were forests
