Obnova vegetacije ide vrlo sporo i teško, tako da i nakon deset godina
poslije požara nema još potpune obnove kamenjarske vegetacije,
a nema ni traga širenju elemenata klimazonalne šumske vegetacije.
Stoga u borbi za zaštitu čovjeka i njegovog okoliša treba posebnu pažnju
posvetiti obrani protiv požara, a naročito u primorskom području naše
zemlje. Ovdje klimatske prilike i biljni pokrov stvaraju pogodne uvjete za
širenje požara, te je šumska vegetacija osobito ugrožena.
