The investigation on the influence of fire on vegetation changes give the
following results:

In Submediterranean region and Mediterranean-mountain belt the grass
Brachypodium pinnatum is dominant in vegetation during a number of
years after intense fire of woods and rocky places

The species Brachypodium ramosum is dominant after fire in vegetation
of Bumediterranean and boundary area between evergreen and deciduous
vegetation

Some communities and species, which represent the last stage of degradation,
spread after the fire

Renewal of the vegetation is very difficult and slow, so that even ten
years after fire the rooky vegetation has not well developed and there
is not a trace of elements of climax wood ´vegetation.
This is the reason to pay particular attention to the protection of fire, especially
in coastal region of our country, where the climate and plant cover are
favourable to fire expansion.
