Continuation of the Observation of nitrate Levels in well Waters of Slavonia


and Baranja


Summary


It is well known that nitrates (NO3) arc an important link in the chain of
synthesis of plant tissue. It is also known that the total production of-artificial
fertilizers is around 800 000 tons per year.


As a results of the occurence of poisoning by nitrates and the occurance of
methamoglobynemia some of the unpublished results of the observations of water
quality in the wells of some towns in Slavonia are presented in this paper.
