The Significance of Forest Remais on Anthropogenic Grounds in the Narrow Area Surriuding the Krško Nuclear Power Plant (NE Krško) for the Bird Fauna Summary As a part of total ecological investigation of the narrow surrounding the Krško Nuclear Power Plant, ornithological investigation under the leadership of Prof. Dr Milan Meštrov , were carried out from 1978 to mid — 1981. This was a desiderable situation in relation to the total ornithological situation because some aspects required a long period of investigation. The field work covered an area from the Krško Nuclear Power Plant as the epicenter, more than 6 km upstream and downstream of the Sava riverand more than 2 km on either side of the riverbanks. The group of subjects investigation regarded to the fund of birds of this subjects investigated regarded to the fund of birds of this subjects investigated regarded the fund of birds within the area, the fenomen of their movement with parzicular consideration given to the role of anthropogenic grounds in this phenomenon; speding the night, resting, wintering and the food resources. Ethological interactions caused by ecological schanger were of central interest. The Krško Valley is in a low lying area around the lower Krka River. This is the most agrarien part of Slovenia insofar as it has the most anthropogenic influences with a characteristic mosaic of biotopes. Since 1978, the first year of the study the intensity of ecological changes has increased suddenly, although the Krško Nu |
