The investegation of the impact of vertical and horizontal structure on regeneration,
proved true, that phytocenosis beech and fir are uneven-aged
forests. The manner of menagement in uneven-aged forests is selection-group
selection system and selection-group cutting. Normals are established for all
uneven-aged pure or mixed stands of beech and fir forests.

Howeve, the beech prefers pure stands, as a high regular cummunity, and
on this area the thinning method is very important. The principles of tending
are the following; management of uneven-aged forest, basal volume per
hectare should not be reduced more than normal volume. Diameter structure
has most often hyperbolic shape of tree distribution. The combination betveen
beech and fir groups is such that achieves the highest producivity and ecological
stability. In these forests it is very important to plan and manage on scientific
bases.

In this paper the author presented the preliminary management aspects of
the beech and fir forest community and the need for investigation.
