The opening of forests must not be carried out uncontrolled with the only aim of building a as much forest fire-prevention roads annualy as possible, so that in 2010, the openness would be as close as possible as the minimum planned openness of karst forests of 10 m/ha, but only based on Studies of opening of certain karst forest areas on a scientifically-profesional principle, the whole, generally acceptable and economically justified solutions can be made. The research results showed that that a scientific-professional approach to forest opening by making Studies of opening, at least the same or even better results have been achieved than without Studies of opening with 2 to 3 km of built forest roads less on the surface area of 1000 ha. The present non-existence of a base for quality planning and designing of forest fire-prevention roads as follows: "Guidelines for karst area opening" and new "Technical conditions for designing forest roads " have to be solved in the future as soon as possible.
