T. Porsinsky, A.P.B. Krpan, I. Slankić: DJELOTVORNOST STROJNE SJEČE I IZRADE U SASTOJINAMA ... Šumarski list br. 11-12, CXXVII1 (2004), 655-669 in mechanized felling and processing of timber in the stand, considering the volume and structure of caused damage was made. During felling and processing operations performed by harvester, a total of 29.5 trees/ha were damaged, which is 6.4 % in relation to the number of the remaining trees after felling. 18.6 standing trees per ha were damaged and 10.9 non-marked trees per ha were felled due to breakage, overturning or harvester moving. Changes of some physical soil properties under compaction after single harvester pass in relation on undisturbed soil, were researched by measuring cone index with cone penetrometer, shear strenght with vane tester and by laboratory analysis of water-physical properties of soil samples (Kopecky cylinder). Results of the soil features which indicate compaction were tested and no significant differences were established for any of the tracked parameters. Key words: thinning of hard-broadleaved stands, harvester, tree damages, soil disturbance |
