SUMMARY: Falconry is way of hunting of wild quarry in its natural state and habitat, using trained birds of prey. For regular and secure falconry it is necessary to use appropriate equipment for bird of prey, for falconer and for bird of prey training. Equipment for the bird of prey must be secure and appropriate weight and size, according to bird which we are use in falconry. Basic equipment for bird is: scale – which is the most important part of equipment, because about scale depends bird’s life and flying weight. Jesses – traditional or hunting (Aylmeri), swivels, leash, bells – tail bell or leg bell, hood, perches – a bow perch or block perch, and telemetry for finding bird after long game chase or in the case if she flies away. Equipment for the falconer also must be in appropriate size and weight, because falconry is very hard way of hunting with lots of walking and running all over the hunting ground. Basic equipment for falconer is falconry glove – where we are carrying the bird, falconry bag for carrying the meat, lure, game and other falconry equipment. Equipment for training bird of prey is the lure – made from feather or fur, depending on sort of game which bird prefer, and long and strong creance for securing bird in initial part of training. Whole equipment can be personally made, but because of security, especially at beginners, it is better to use equipment from some of well known falconry equipment maker.
