Postotno učešće nepravilnih klijanaca s presavinutim ili zavinutim hipokotilom raste od ekstremno kiselih do slabo kiselih otopina. Nepravilni klijanci kojima nedostaje vrh ili su kratki, zastupljeni su u ekstra kiselim otopinama s 8,71%, odnosno u ekstremno kiselim otopinama 21,05%. Rezultati ovog istraživanja poslužit će boljem razumijevanju morfoloških značajki klijanaca kod prirodne obnove smrekovih sastojina u promjenjivim ekološkim uvjetima (kisele kiše, zakiseljavanje tala i dr.). Osim dobrog uroda, preduvjet uspješne prirodne obnove smrekovih šuma između ostaloga su pravilni klijanci. Pozitivna je činjenica kako su tla u Republici Hrvatskoj većinom iznad granične pH vrijednosti za klijanje sjemena i pravilan razvoj klijanaca obične smreke, dok samo mali dio tala (0,38%) ima pH vrijednost nižu od 3.
